Celebrating Start Ups – Roshni & Shaleena
With articles and features in publications such as Huffington Post, Start-ups.co.uk, Healthy Living London and The Metro you’d be forgiven for thinking Bella Kinesis was a huge brand with big backing. The reality is that it is a small start-up with big plans and even bigger drive behind it.
Roshni and Shaleena are the brains behind the sport brand Bella Kinesis, a business that supports women in rural India with every sale made.
The girls recently attended an invite only event at Downing Street for International Women’s Day, something they could only have dreamt of when they were standing next to Theo Paphitis at the #SBS winners do!
This is what the girls had to say:
“Before our business even launched, we ran a blog on our website and shared our startup story and journey into fitness. By just maintaining this and updating viewers on our progress, we were able to build a bit of a following. We knew we needed to spread our message further. We made a list of all the publications we wanted to be in and began targeting all the relevant journalists. Twitter was a massive help to both find contact details and to understand individual journalist’s interests. This helped us figure out how best to approach them and eventually get a positive result” Roshni and Shaleena
